Spiciness of hot pepper, wasabi and black pepper are different

Fact - The spiciness of a hot pepper is because of a compound called capsaicin. While wasabi "stings" because of allyl isothiocyanate (also found in mustard and horseradish). Black pepper is hot because of piperine.
