The shape of eye pupils can predict whether the species is a hunter or the hunted one.

A study by vision scientist Martin Banks, professor at the University of California at Berkeley, examined 214 species to predict a hypothesis that the shape of the eye pupil can, to a large extent, determine whether the species is primarily a prey or a predatory.
