This orang-utan routinely escaped from zoo even when the staff kept a close watch

Fact - Ken Allen, a Bornean orang-utan caged in the San diego zoo, was able to escape multiple times. On his freedom sorties, Ken would stroll around quietly looking at other animals. Moreover, this prompted other orang-utans to escape.

Ken Allen, a Bornean orang-utan caged in the San diego zoo, was able to escape multiple times. On his freedom sorties, Ken would stroll around quietly looking at other animals. Moreover, this prompted other orang-utans to escape.

When zoo staff began surveillance to identify how he was escaping, Ken immediately understood that he was being watched. The ape wasn’t fooled when the officials went “undercover”.
